Dr Michael Silagy

Dr Michael Silagy is a compassionate and dedicated specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist providing personalised, patient-centred care in Melbourne’s South East, supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and all stages of their gynaecological and reproductive health journey.

Michael completed his medical degree with Honours and undertook extensive specialist training across Monash Health, Eastern Health and Peninsula Health. He holds Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His experience spans both routine and complex obstetrics and gynaecology, with additional training in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, including minimally invasive hysterectomy and the management of endometriosis. Known for his warm, approachable manner, Michael believes every woman deserves to feel heard, respected and actively involved in her care. He prioritises clear communication and shared decision-making, ensuring his patients feel confident and supported throughout their pregnancy and beyond.
