Transition to home at the luxurious Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, MGallery by Sofitel

Once you are discharged from our care, you have the option of moving from the Jessie Maternity Ward to the Jessie Parenting Sanctuary located at Hotel Chadstone.  

Your transition to home includes a two night stay, with meals included, your partner is also welcome to stay. 

The Jessie Parenting Sanctuary at Hotel Chadstone gives you and your family the opportunity to experience a transition to home in the relaxing, five-star comfort of Hotel Chadstone.  

The Parenting Sanctuary is available to privately insured and self-funded patients.

There is no need to pre-book your transition to home stay. Our maternity team will discuss everything with you during your post-natal recovery on the ward and will notify the hotel if you plan to access the transition to home stay.

The Jessie Parenting Sanctuary offers you the opportunity to recuperate and connect with your new family, with a relaxing and calm transition to home. 

Your partner and other children are welcome to stay in your room too, dependent upon maximum occupancy, which can be confirmed during your post-natal recovery on the maternity ward.

All meals are provided for our discharged patients and you are also welcome to dine at the hotel’s 5-star restaurant, at an additional cost. Meals for your partner will need to be paid for in full. Smart TVs are installed in all rooms, offering Chromecast as well as 20 Foxtel channels. 

Visit Chadstone – The Fashion Capital, make use of the shopping complex where you will find all your lifestyle needs, from baby and homewares to health, beauty and more. It is your responsibility to ensure a suitable pram or baby carrier is used when transporting your baby.

Additional Information


Once our maternity team have completed your discharge you will be able to transfer to the Jessie Parenting Sanctuary. You are responsible for the transportation of your baby in an Australian Standards-approved car seat/capsule to Hotel Chadstone. 

Upon arrival at the hotel, staff will greet you and assist you with your luggage. All the rooms are fully serviced and luxuriously appointed, each offering breathtaking views. The rooms are spacious, with superb bathrooms and fully appointed, including a bassinet for your baby. 

Breastfeeding Support

At Jessie McPherson, we support mothers and babies through their breastfeeding journey. Our Breastfeeding Support Service provides care and support to make sure you have the best experience possible. 

Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants offer individual breastfeeding support and advice for mothers in the lead-up to birth, and in the important first few months of breastfeeding. 

The Breastfeeding Support Service is available to both in-patients on the maternity ward and to discharged patients staying at the Jessie Parenting Sanctuary.

Our breastfeeding support service is available to all former patients, up to six weeks post-natal. 


As a privately insured patient your two night stay at Hotel Chadstone will be covered by Jessie McPherson Private Hospital. This includes servicing of the rooms, local telephone calls, Foxtel and meals for discharged patients delivered to your room. Meals for your partner will need to be paid for in full. 

Self-funded patients have the option to include a stay at Hotel Chadstone as part of their package, we encourage you to reach out to the Maternity Bookings Team on to confirm the options available to you. 

Upon check-in Hotel Chadstone will take your credit card details in case you require additional services. Additional services may include, but are not limited to mini-bar, spa treatments and meals from the hotel restaurant. 


Car parking is available on-site at Hotel Chadstone, parking for one car is included in your stay. Paid parking is available for visitors, alternatively free parking is available nearby.
