Anne Howe – Chief Executive Officer

Anne Howe was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital in July 2015.

Anne gained extensive experience in the private health care sector in senior executive roles at Healthscope Ltd. including Director of Nursing, General Manager, State Manager and National Manager. She has also held positions as Senior Business Analyst at Cabrini Health and Hospital Strategy Manager at Australian Health Service Alliance.

Anne holds nursing and midwifery qualifications and has a variety of experience in both acute and rehabilitation settings. She also gained experience in the public health system across the eastern states of Australia earlier in her career.

Anne holds Master of Nursing and Master of Business Administration degrees and is also a Fellow, Australian College of Nursing.

Thinesh Chandraratne – Business Director

Thinesh Chandraratne – who has 25 years experience in finance and management – has worked locally and internationally in public health and the private/commercial sectors. He commenced as Business Director at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital in March 2015.

Prior to joining Jessie McPherson Private Hospital, Thinesh – who has a Masters degree in Professional Accounting and is a Fellow of CPA Australia – held several business management roles at Monash Health over the past 10 years.

Corinne Lyon  – Director of Nursing

Corinne Lyon was appointed Director of Nursing at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital in October 2017, previously holding the position of Acting Director of Nursing from March 2017.

Corinne graduated as a registered nurse in 1989. During her nursing career Corinne has worked in emergency, ICU, medical and surgical areas, and operating theatres, predominately at Monash Health.

Corinne has held senior nursing leadership roles over the past six years including the Nurse Unit Manager and Peri-Operative Services Manager of operating theatres.

Corinne is passionate and committed to leading quality, safe and exceptional patient care with outstanding outcomes every time.

Corinne has a Graduate Diploma of Nursing Practice and is currently enrolled in an MBA.



A/Prof Paul Cashin – Director Medical Services

Paul Cashin was appointed to the role of Director, Medical Services at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital in January 2016.

Paul graduated from Monash University in 1984; he trained in General Surgery at the Repatriation General Hospital, Heidelberg, graduating in 1997. Having spent time in the United Kingdom, he returned to Australia to complete Upper GI Surgical training at Monash Medical Centre.

Paul is currently the Director of Upper GI/HPB Surgery at Monash Health and he practices as a luminal Upper GI Surgeon in public and private; he has been an active surgeon at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital for nearly 20 years. He has particular interests in oesphago-gastric cancer, reflux disease, oesophageal motility disorders and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Dept. of Surgery, Southern Clinical School at Monash University.

Paul acts as Medical Advisor to the Kitaya Holdings Board of Directors, and he participates in the Kitaya Board Quality Committee. He is also Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital.

In his role as Director, Medical Services, Paul oversees medical governance and accreditation including areas such as patient care and quality outcomes, the patient experience, medical credentialing and scope of practice, research, new technologies and medical ethics.
