We encourage you to take the time to join us on our weekly Maternity Unit tours. Your labour and birth is a very special time for both you and your baby and we have a number of classes and programs available.
Maternity Unit tours
During the Maternity Unit tour, one of our friendly staff members will show you around and answer any questions you may have. This is your opportunity to find out as much as possible about the facilities, services and level of care that we can provide you during your stay with us. Our tours are held on:
- Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm
- Saturday at 11.00am
- Sunday at 2.00pm.
Registration is essential for all tours. You can make a request to attend by clicking on one of the available (orange) tour dates in the calendar below.

Calendar of upcoming maternity tours
Classes
The Childbirth and Early Parenting Program aims to give parents knowledge and confidence in the birthing process and parenting. A wide range of workshops are available, facilitated by our well experienced midwives.
We offer a range of pre natal classes for first time parents.
Bookings for each class must be made in advance with the Pre Admission Office on (03) 9594 5302.
Early pregnancy class
Suitable for: First time mothers who are between 12-20 weeks pregnant.
Schedule: This class is conducted most Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm by a Physiotherapist.
Series of 5 classes
Suitable for: First time parents.
Schedule:Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Saturday or Sunday workshops
Suitable for: First time parents. This is an alternative class for people who are unable to commit to the Series of 5 classes.
Schedule: Workshops are held monthly, usually from 10.00am.
