•    This depends on the ward, different rules and arrangements apply. Please contact the ward of the patient for further information
•    Please be aware that a fee may apply for providing overnight accommodation for family and friends.
 

We recommend you turn off your phone as you enter our facilities.  A number of our machines are sensitive to mobile phones.

The visiting hours are from 2pm to 8pm.
Maternity Services visiting hours are from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 8pm.
A strict rest period is scheduled each day between 12pm and 2pm.

•    Café and convenience store (located on level 2)
•    Hairdresser (avaialble in the ward – please speak with your ward clerk to arrange an appointment)

Patients may be dropped off and picked up at our hospital's main entrance.  Public parking is available in the multi-level car park which can be accessed from Clayton Road.

A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available at the main hospital entrance and in the multi-level car park which has lift access.  All public car park areas have footpaths with disabled access to the hospital.

As a health promoting health service, smoking is not allowed on Jessie McPherson Private Hopsital property.  There are no designated areas to smoke.  On World No Tobacco Day 31 May 2009 Jessie McPherson Private Hopsital introduced a total ban on smoking within our boundaries.  Patients can access nicotine replacement therapy and support to quit smoking.

The hospital's main reception can provide general information.  The reception is located at the main entrance to the hospital on the ground floor.

Ward clerks of each ward will be able to help you.

•    Family and friends are encouraged to visit patients
•    Children can sometimes find hospitals daunting.  When visiting the hospital we ask that children be supervised by an adult at all times
•    Please note that visiting hours and rest periods vary from ward to ward.

After hours queries should be directed to the hospital switchboard on 03 9594 2776.  You will then be transferred to the most appropriate person to answer the enquiry.
